Paris wedding photoghrapher: the bride and groom are walking the streets of central Paris

WEDDING PACKAGES

I’d be delighted to document your special day and plan to be there from the morning beauty prep til well into party time. I don’t believe in holding photos “hostage” so will always deliver you all edited pictures from the wedding in high res – they are your pictures, not mine.

During high season, I only offer prep to party options. Outside of the high season I’m happy to discuss any other request. Also happy to talk about extra coverage such as brunch, welcome dinner, etc. I love chatting about wedding ideas so feel free to reach out and ask many questions about your special day!

What elements should you take into account when choosing a wedding photographer?

Finding the right photographer for you can be a right hassle, especially if you’re not from Paris and are planning a session here or in the rest of France. Here are the main criteria for me to think of when looking for the person who will share important moments of your life:

A photographer that puts people first:

It may seem obvious, but the photographer you pick will be one of the closest people you’ll have on the day and will not only be there to capture the gorgeous ceremony, or the lovely outdoor reception, they will also be there when you get undressed and dressed in the morning, and when everybody has had a little too much champagne to drink in the evening (and might end up undressing again?). Therefore it is essential that you feel at ease with your photographer and that your characters match! Your photos will turn out all the more beautiful for it. That’s one reason why I try and organise drinks or e-drinks with my brides and grooms before the wedding, to get to know each other better!

Their photographic style:

This might also appear obvious, but as a example if you like bright and luminous “Fine Art” pictures, don’t pick a “Moody” style photographer. Aside from the emotions and moments captured, do check that you are happy with things like contrast and colours as that photographer’s style is what you will get on your own pictures too.

The investment:

A big one as every wedding has their set budget, and trying to fit everything in can prove pretty challenging. While our rates can seem quite steep, it is important to take into account a few things one may not realise at first.

First of all:
the time spent by the photographer on each wedding. And by that I don’t just mean on the day, but also pre and post wedding day: time spent exchanging emails, drafting the contract and invoice, but also mainly the time spent after on post production and editing (about 30 hours).

Another thing to keep in mind:
is most clients choose to get married at the same time: aka april until october, which leaves us with only half of a year’s weekends to make a living wage – our rates are calculated so that our minimum package allows us to live, to put it simply 🙂

And one last element:
to take into account, as with every job, if we work well and are in demand, we give ourselves pay rises 🙂
